PROPRIETOR St. Joseph’s International School is the property of St. Agnes Catholic Church in the Offinso South Municipality of Ashanti Region. The Parish is a branch and integral part of Suame Deanery and the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi; the capital of the Ashanti Region, Ghana – West Africa. The Parish presently has three priests and sixteen outstation churches (mission churches). |
THE ORIGIN OF THE SCHOOL The school was established on September 5, 2000 to replace St. Joseph’s Commercial, Technical, Vocational Institute which became defunct after being in operation for ten (10) years due to lack of public interest and patronage |
LOCATION The school is strategically located at Anyankaso which forms part of the Municipal capital, called New Offinso. It is about 20 kilometers away from Kumasi. It is a typical rural community which has few or no employment opportunities for the youth. Therefore, most of the people thrive on subsistence farming, petty trading, artisanship and several other odd jobs. |
